The site is located along the Grasse River in Massena, New York for the new 35 agent Massena Border Patrol Station. Site and facility conceptual master plans were developed and approved by the CBP and the Army Corps of Engineers.
The Performa team was retained to take their conceptual site and facility master plan into final design and documentation. Performa put together a team of experts to fulfill the various needs of the final design. The 26,500 square foot new Border Patrol Station serves 35 agents and accommodates space for the U.S. Coast Guard.
The design context was chosen to fit into the surrounding neighborhood. The zoning of the design allows for ease of expansion and minimizes any disruptions to hard in-place components of the station, such as locker and mechanical rooms. The continued involvement with the station agents during the design process will ensure a station that is organizationally, operationally and functionally in alignment with their needs.
